What is cat.board?
cat.board began in 2008 as a pass-time and quickly grew into an art project. The goal is to make old figures and forms new by inserting one of the oddest mammals on earth, cats. Dogs are easy to understand, but cats not so much. They are curious and finicky, prone to mood changes. They are like humans.
Most of the inspiration comes from old paintings and illustrations; from a variety of sources such as illuminated manuscripts and cultural artifacts.
Think of the wheel. For millenniums it has had the same form with only the presentation changing. That is the idea behind cat.board.
